Our Wellness Coaching Certification Curriculum
Build a Strong Foundation for Your New Career as a Wellness Coach
The IAWP Wellness Coaching Certification is designed to help you build a strong foundation. If your goal is to educate others and share the message of holistic health, you are in the right place.. Our training program is focused on three essentials. First, the wellness education needed to help people with their wellness goals and health challenges. Second, a proven coaching method that creates lasting changes. And third, the systems + support for launching a wellness coach business.
If your goal is to share the message of holistic health and wellness with others so they can improve their lives, then you’re in the right place. In order to reach your goal, you’ll need a strong foundation in three areas.
First, you’ll want to have an education in holistic health and wellness that will allow you to support people with a variety of health challenges. Second, you’ll need a coaching technique that supports people to make changes and reach their goals. And third, having business training that includes systems and support will be essential so you can reach the people you are meant to help.
The IAWP’s curriculum is built on these three areas which we The 3 Pillars of your Wellness Coach Certification program. We’ll look closer at each of these three pillars in a moment. But first, let’s examine how exactly our curriculum is delivered to you, what makes it unique and why it is so effective.
What makes the IAWP Wellness Coach Curriculum So Effective? Check out the 5 top reasons for learning with the IAWP….
Reason #1: Learn What You’ll Teach
Our students tell us every day that they love what they are learning and how it is changing their own lives. We enjoy hearing these stories and how our students’ lives are being impacted. And we know this is because we have designed our curriculum specifically to have a dual-impact. What does that mean? Our curriculum was created to support both you and the clients you’ll be supporting simultaneously.
And old adage states “By learning you will teach; by teaching you will learn”, and so it is with the IAWP curriculum. Everything you will be teaching as a Wellness Coach you are learning and applying to your own life as you journey through your training program. This style of curriculum will fully prepare you to be able to “walk your talk” and support your own coaching clients from a place of true personal experience.
Reason #2: Gain a Holistic Health Specialty
As wellness coaches, our goal is to teach people how to transform their lifestyle in a way that’s easy to maintain. Yet wellness isn’t simply about fruits, vegetables and hitting the gym every day. Instead, it addresses every single aspect of a person’s life. Learning how to address these multiple elements from a holistic perspective is the core of our wellness philosophy.
Our wellness curriculum provides you specialized training in holistic health. We teach holistic wellness because we believe that all areas of a person’s life affect their well-being. And we know that wellness coaches who understand how these areas work together and can be supported in conjunction with one another, can be the most effective at helping someone to reach their goals.
That’s why we teach our Holistic Wellness Coaches how to focus on the whole person. They may start by helping their clients with “outer” health issues like nutrition, weight, fitness and stress but go deeper beyond the physical symptoms and goals to examine a second “inner” layer including Relationships, Career, Finances, Mindset, Emotions, Spirituality and Purpose.
Having a holistic health education will allow you to address the whole person when working with a client, which in turn helps them to create lasting changes rather than quick, one-sided fixes. In addition, you’ll also be able to differentiate yourself among other generalist health coaches and stand out in the crowd with a unique approach to well-being.
Reason #3: Experience Client Ready Curriculum (CRC)
We love Reason #3 because it’s a very unique aspect to our curriculum and is just one of the ways we fully support our students to be successful. Client Ready Curriculum – what exactly does that mean? CRC builds upon the “learn what you teach” philosophy and takes it a step further. The curriculum that you learn is also the curriculum you will teach to your clients. In this way, CRC serves two powerful purposes.
One, it makes your education translatable.
This is different from most health and nutrition education that spends a lot of time sharing facts and figures that don’t translate into the real-world. We hear from many holistic professionals who have tons of “book knowledge” but now way to effectively share that knowledge with their clients, leaving them struggling with how to make a difference in people’s lives.
Your coaching clients need more than just facts and figures about how to be healthy, they need real-life tips and actionable advice so they can use it in their own life. Client Ready Curriculum is just that, client ready!
Two, your client materials are done-for-you.
Not only will you apply everything you are learning and be able to use it in your own life and with your coaching clients, CRC also saves you from reinventing the wheel. Your curriculum materials are not just for our students, they are for your clients. That means you can take your education with you and use it in your own practice as client handouts, coaching programs, and newsletters. Our students love that CRC allows them to hit the ground running in their wellness coach practice.
Reason #4 Take Action Training
Our unique “Take Action Training” help you to take all that you are learning and make it come to life in the real-world. This is an important and unique aspect of the IAWP curriculum because your learning does not happen in a box. Instead, we show you how to take action step-by-step as you journey through your program so that by the time you graduate, you are already a Wellness Coach in action.
Different from other learning experiences where your nose is in a book and by the time you finish you are not sure what to do next, the IAWP supports you in bringing your education to life and building your new career as you go. We’re proud to share that our Wellness Coach graduates end training with their Wellness Coaching practice already underway because of our Take Action Training.
Reason #5 – In-depth, On-the-go Learning
The IAWP Wellness Coaching Certification consists of over 300 hours of curriculum. This level of learning and in-depth education is more than most health coach training programs that tend to “scratch the surface” in a basic program that later requires you to gain additional training after you graduate to be fully prepared. At the IAWP, our commitment is to your success and we mean it, that’s why we provide you everything you need to know to not only get started but be successful for the long-term.
Your learning takes place in our state-of-the-art, online classroom featuring the latest learning technology including videos, audios, application exercises and chat forums. It’s important to note that you can work through your coursework at your own pace, unlike some online learning programs. We’ve built your program this way because we know that some weeks you may have less time and you need to go at a slower pace. Other weeks you may have more time and we won’t hold you back from progressing.
On average students complete their training in 6 months, but some take longer and some finish sooner depending on their goals and schedule. Best of all, you can participate in our interactive support calls and live coaching labs every week including daytime, evenings and weekend hours to help you apply what you are learning and stay on track.
In addition, we’ve built our program so that no matter how busy your current lifestyle, you can complete this program and transition to a new career you love. We’ve supported all types of students with busy lives to complete our training including busy professionals with full-time careers, people working multiple jobs to support their family, and stay at-home parents caring for children.
No matter your current schedule, we’ll show you how you can successfully complete our training and be up and running in your new career as a Wellness Coach.
