What you were doing before you decided to become an IAWP Wellness Coach?
I was in a direct sales party plan business that had a focus on a green and clean lifestyle. I also have a background in nursing that I stepped away from to be at home for my kids.
Why did you decide to become a Wellness Coach?
For the last seven years, I have been on a holistic journey following a health scare. I am very passionate about the importance of understanding that wellness is not just about food and exercise. I learned there are zero quick fixes, and I see so many struggling to be happy and healthy.
One of the ways I figured out this was the direction I wanted to head was after working with a Life Coach. She helped me to realize this passion and to open my mind to the possibility of helping others through coaching and education.
How has being a student at the IAWP helped you?
This was the perfect program for me! It helped me learn tools to build my business, but more importantly, I was taught skills on coaching. This was the area I needed educated in the most. This program really reinforced the idea of self-discovery. The CORE coaching method is an amazing way to help my clients get at the solutions on their own.
It has given me freedom that NO other profession has done. I have the power to do my business my way. I am focusing on the power of real foods. I am offering real food cooking classes (live and online) geared for busy mamas and workshops on creating real food pantries. Plus, I have a system I call the Real Food Overhaul that offers coaching, one on one cooking, meal planning, shopping tips and more! And, I am working on an E-Cookbook!
It has been fun to see my business grow as well as my following. It is hard work but so rewarding! I have discovered that I LOVE to share, educate, and empower my fellow mamas. This program has been such a blessing.
