Take Action Toward Your New Career in Health & Wellness
We’ve talked to thousands of students, graduates, and wellness professionals over the years. And, what we found might surprise you. Most of them share a similar story that led them to a career in health and wellness. This might even be your story, so read on!
Some of these people were new to wellness while others were already in the profession. It didn’t matter. Each of them shared a passion for health and wellness. They shared a passion for wanting to help other people. And, quite honestly, they felt stuck.
Quite Honestly, They Felt Stuck
While some wellness professionals worked in hospitals or doctor’s offices, they felt an inner desire to help people in a holistic, natural way. Perhaps people already came to them and asked them about what they were eating or how to help some type of ailment. They wanted to continue their education in the area of holistic wellness, so they could fill in the gaps and help more people.
Others weren’t directly in the health field; however, they also experienced people coming to them and asking them for advice. These people were didn’t know what to do. A lot of them just felt stuck working from a cubicle, always on the inside looking out. They followed someone else’s schedule, so they often found themselves missing out on important events.
And, of course, some enjoyed their current jobs. They were good at their trade. They hadn’t even thought about a career change. Amazingly, they also had people coming to them and asking them questions about wellness. At some point, it all clicked. All those years of researching health and wellness must have meant something. Perhaps it was time step out of their comfort zone and do meaningful work helping others.
How Did They Move Forward?
“What helped all these people get unstuck,” you might ask. How did they move forward into a career where they could follow their passion, help others, and live a life of authenticity?
Quite honestly, they were able to do two things. First, they were able to align themselves with a community of like-minded individuals where they could learn and grow. Second, they joined a community that offered a lifeline of support to help them overcome obstacles and keep moving toward their goals.
